The Women's Ministry of Calvary Chapel Sarasota exists to glorify God through prayerfully planned activities and events for the women in our church and community, which our prayer is to promote spiritual growth and lead women to Christ.
Our prayer is that you would KNOW and GROW in your walk with the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Meet the Calvary Women’s Leadership Team
Michele Gross - Leader

Michele and John have been married since 1991 and have 3 children with 2 in-loves and 2 grandchildren. Michele and her family have been attending Calvary Chapel Sarasota since 2020. Michele has a passion for women's ministry and teaching. Besides leading the Women's Ministry, Michele serves in the nursery and in the Great Commission Cafe.
Michele's favorite verse is Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
Jane Benham

Jane is passionate about authentically loving and serving the Lord and others, and any type of marriage ministry. She still has a "mad crush" on her husband of 39 years, Chuck. They have 2 adult children and 3 wonderful grandchildren! They have called Calvary Chapel Sarasota home for 25 years. They love serving as Premarital mentors and in the "Young Couples" small group. Jane loves encouraging and mentoring younger women in the Lord.
Titus 2:4-5 is her passion for the Women's Ministry. Her life verses are Psalm 37:4, John 10:10 and Romans 8.

Cathlyn has been living in Sarasota since 2008. Her and her husband, Joseph have been married since 2013 and they have two boys, Benjamin and Elijah. They have been attending CCSRQ since 2013. Cathlyn and Joseph serve with Global Serve International as local
missionaries.They run a recovery home for men recovering from addiction. She helps lead the Young Married Couples Growth Group and also serves in the Koinonia Coffee Bar. Cathlyn enjoys spending time with family, cooking, painting, writing, salsa dancing, and stand up
paddle boarding. She has a heart for discipleship and creating opportunities for connecting women in our church.
Her favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 4:8-10.

Kelly Burke

Kelly and Jim Burke have been married since 1992 and have four adult daughters and two sons-in-law. She serves in the children's ministry as well as the Helps ministry. Kelly teaches at Suncoast Technical College as a nursing instructor.
One of her favorite verses is Romans 12:13 "Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality."

Megan grew up at Calvary Chapel Sarasota, and although she has moved around a bit, she has always considered this her home church. Megan has served in ministry full-time with an international church-planting organization since 2015. She has served both in the US and overseas and is now currently based in Sarasota. Megan is passionate about equipping women to study and teach the Bible and helping women of all ages fulfill their role in the church gathered and the church scattered.
Her favorite verses are Ephesians 3:14-21

Christine Sullivan

Kevin and Christine Sullivan, along with their three children, joined Calvary Chapel Sarasota in 2020. Christine teaches at a local public high school and also volunteers with the music ministry and with the N2-1 young adults group. She has a passion for helping other believers live a simple life of faith that honors the Lord in word, thought and deed.
While there are many, Proverbs 3:5-6 is one of her favorite verses because of it's gentle reminder to trust in our heavenly Father.
Lenabelle Vanlandingham

Lenabelle Vanlandingham is married to EJ. They have been married since 2001 and have two daughters, Emily and Lacey. Lenabelle and her family recently returned to Calvary Chapel Sarasota in 2020. She serves in the Lending Library along with leading/hosting the monthly Women's Fellowship. Lenabelle has a passion for encouraging and praying for her sisters in Christ.
Her favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10 - "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. "
